{Other NOTES from the DUGOUT}
Staff Appreciation Week: Please watch your mailbox for your ticket to our All Star week next week. I have teamed up with our amazing PTA and many volunteers to provide you some goodies and treats to help remind you how appreciated you are. I hope you'll enjoy it and participate in all of the fun! Be sure to participate in the Staff 'Sportsters' Contest too!
Cleaning Storage Rooms: David and I are going to go through storage rooms for old curriculum with intent to sell it. If you have old curriculum in secret places, please let me know so we can get it moved to our empty classroom to organize for now.
Summer School: We have some money left in our Title budget to offer a small summer school program for RTI or invited students; but I need someone to lead this and work at it this summer. Hours/days/times are up to whomever takes it on as the leader. Crystal nor I are able to lead/work at it. Let me know if you're interested. $25.00 per hour for certified/ Your normal rate for classified staff.
Top 8 "America's Best Community": Congrats to our community participants who earned our city $100,00 as a result of a lot of hard work to showcase Valley county! If you want to learn more about this recognition/award, find it on www.americasbestcommunities.com
Lamination: We are almost out of lamination film. We are on our last roll. We can't order more until the new budget year; thus if it's not critical this spring, hold off until fall.
Year End Events: If you see I don't have something on the Staff Calendar in 365 or on the below list of events, please let me know/confirm.
Volunteer Names and Community Partners: Use this link to update/review the list of community partners and volunteers (2 different tabs). Please let me know if you can't type into it. We need it to be accurate to acknowledge everyone.
ISAT/IRI Results: Much appreciation to the Reading Team for all the amazing improvements/gains in IRI and reports. ISAT results are slowly popping up. If you are a Grade 3-5 teacher log in once your students have finished both parts of the ELA test or both parts of the Math assessments to check preliminary scores via the Idaho Portal/TIDE.
Leadership Premiums Papers: These were turned over to the district office to determine who qualifies for premium payment this year. Essentially, the committee(s) you served on had to show 15 hours of time after 3:45 and not be a position paid another way (ie. "District Mentors" already get a stipend; thus it doesn't generate a leadership stipend). Stay tuned for further 'verdicts' on who qualified.
Student Reward Events/Details till year end: Thanks to those who are excited and interested in student acknowledgement and stepping up to create some fun rewards for our students. I will remind you each week of what is coming and if you need to draw for any winners. Here is what is slated till year end if you want to take note:
