{Other NOTES from the DUGOUT}
Our Common Expectations and Acknowledgements are set to launch for students when we return. I will lead a short assembly to welcome students back and review the expectations that will help us have a common language for staff and kids. Please click here to share how you are feeling.
National Xmas Tree Ornaments ~ I have requested all the materials for ornament making for each grade level. As they arrive I will deliver them. As you finish any ornaments, please bring them to the office. Deadline to finish is June 1st.
Espanol Rapido: Tricia will be here on March 29 and 31 for Spanish but NOT any April days. She will resume on May 5.
Positive Action Update: Laura finished her last lesson this week for the THURSDAY classes. She has to come back for one more Friday, to finish up the FRIDAY classes, which will be April 8.
Grade Level Placements for 16-17: I'm working on getting out the details of how current teachers will help place kids into groups and then they will be reviewed by our certified specialists/specials team before the end of the year. This will most likely be an April task.
Team Decision Needed ASAP: See your Advisory Rep. about if your team would rather have a roving sub dayto:
MDEF Grants Update: Please review the grant policies per Mr. Foudy's email earlier in the week and note the change in dollar figures. If you are planning to write one, please let me know. We are looking for a writer to renew the Spanish Espanol Rapido one.
End of the Day Messages: We have revised our expectation for getting messages to teachers at the end of the day. Our runners (typically Student Council) will deliver messages at 2:45 to classrooms. They will be instructed to NOT leave messages in an unattended room. If you won't be in your classroom at 2:45, it is the teachers responsibility to call the office so they know where you'll be so the messages can find you in a timely manner. THANK YOU for your help with this.
Classified Staff: I love having you at all staff meetings. I typically plan for you to only need to stay until 3:30, which is workable then to give you the 15 minutes of 'comp time' for your overage, which is reasonable if you leave at 3:00 most days. :) However, this past staff meeting took you about 1 hour over your paid time. That might be hard to make up to you. If you feel you can't adjust for a hour of time from now till year end, please consider filling out a time sheet for the 1 extra hour of work. I just want to value your time.

Staffing Change: I am sad to say Therissa Alpha had her last day with us on Wednesday this past week. We lost a one on one student; which changed our needs and PLMS increased their needs for some special needs supports; thus Therissa jumped on the opportunity for a more stable position and will share her talents with PLMS! All my best Therissa!
Spring Break Cleaning: I have asked our custodian team (Dean, Chris, & Dan) to wash/bag up all the Lost & Found and store it until June. If you have a student who later realizes they are missing something, please send them to the custodians to look through the bags. The following rooms are scheduled to have their carpet seams in your classrooms repaired. Please be aware in case something doesn't get put back just right. Rooms to fix carpet: 111, 112, 113, 121, 122, 123, 231, 232, 233, 241, 242, 243, 251, 252, 253, 261, 262, 263, 297, Library. If you have any other specific spring break wishes, please submit to School Dude or let a custodian know.

- cover for a Reading Team Review of Student Data (1 hour per team)
- cover for your team to score writing prompts/finalize class lists (up to 1/2 day per team) - after May 18
- we'd really like to do both....but would be willing to consider a Friday and using our own para's to help cover some rooms to save on sub costs...
