Fire Drills:  Great job this week reviewing fire drill procedures!  I'm thinking we'll do a lockdown in April and our last fire drill in May.

Picture Day (March 16):  I'd like to have all staff wear their baseball shirt (or bring it just for the photo) for our staff picture. I am also asking you to be here ready for the STAFF PHOTO at 7:35 AM in the cafe.  This is before contract time so please adjust and leave early today.  Jodi sent out a Google sign up form for each classroom to sign up for a 10 minute slot for your class photo (in the cafe).  We will send around a volunteer to help you arrive on time.  Email/Call Jodi if you need a class sign up time.

Drama Performances (March 16 - afternoon):  Use the Google sign up form to sign up for a slot if you are interested and it fits your schedule.  Email/Call Jodi if you didn't get it.

Jumprope for Heart Pledge Forms due to Mr. Jeffries by March 31st.

SBAC (Grades 3-5):
Preparing for Year End:  Things to do with your team...
  1. Year End scheduling of all trips and activities by team (submit to Val or be sure they are on the calendar/blog).
  2. National Christmas Tree Ornaments ~ let Val know if you can help make 1000 ornaments.
  3. Edit Suggested Supply List....
  4. Ordering for 16-17:  What consumables?  Agendas/Planners?
  5. Class Placement ~ Plan will likely be to work in teams and one other staff member to group students for the next year...I will coordinate a day to do this in May.
  6. March/April we will work on starting a conversation about Report Cards and Gradebook changes you'd like to see so take note of your dreams and I will work to see what's possible.  Please let me see what edits (if any) your team would like to see.
  7. Consumables:  I will be asking each team which student consumables you need for next year.  (ie. Great Body Shop, Foss items, Wonders Workbooks, Handwriting, etc.)
  8. Staffing:  I will be working to talk to those of you that could see a change in the 16-17 school year.  As it looks now (projected enrollment), I currently don't have any openings (teacher or paraprofessional) but the job postings will remain in the event our enrollment derives an increase in staffing.
Behavior Common Expectations Updates:  Kick Off Assembly will be Monday, March 28th from 9:30-10:00 with an introduction to our common expectations and Eagle Eye Acknowledgements (Goal will be to recognize 1-5 students per day per staff member).  Training will be March 14th.
