Grade Level Common Prep Time Mtg: I cancelled common prep time meetings for this coming week as I think we only need 1 or 2 per month and we had 2 in October! Check your calendars if you got confused. Enjoy your prep time! Next ones are week of conferences.
MDSD Creative Arts Committee:
Thank you to Kim & Holly for inviting me to their meeting with community folks too! It was very exciting to hear all the ideas and support our community has in the areas of dance, drama, art, & music! I dream of seeing our elementary kids have more Creative Arts within their day - someday.
Writing Team Update: Each grade level is to administer the persuasive writing prompt prior to November 12. Each team will have a half day as a team to score the prompts as a team on either November 17, 18, or 19th.
Storage Rooms: Thank you to many of you who started to dig out a bit. I see lots of 'give aways' and simply getting things back where they belong. Work day is another great day to keep digging/sorting/cleaning!
Staffing Update: We are/will be in the process of screening applicants for our special ed para pro position and a counselor.

Future Events ~
PTA sponsored "Holiday Craft Fair with Student Entrepreneurs" ~ December 3rd from 3:00-6:00 PM in our Cafe. Our students are invited to make something to sell at a Craft Fair just for them. Forms just went home with students.
PTA will be hosting a 'design a new student tshirt' contest in the coming weeks. Watch for that information and help to encourage the kids to enter. Maybe staff can enter too!
