{Other NOTES from the DUGOUT}
MCAP/MCOMP Scores:  The scores will be placed in your mailboxes soon for your students. Please meet with your team to reflect and plan what you can do with these results.

Winter Writing Probe:  Most grade levels have scheduled your half day of subs to score writing probes.  Please administer to students before your 'sub scheduled' day.  *5th Grade* don't have a day scheduled for you yet?

Staff Collection for Tina in our kitchen will be coming from Shanna via email so watch for that and let's see if we can offer her some support to deal with the tragedy of her home starting on fire.

Polar Plunge Participants:  So far, Ellen, Felicity, Victoria, Chelsey....who else?!?! Sean will do it if we can raise $500.00! Our fundraising jar will be on the office counter.  It is scheduled for the 30th at 3:00 PM.  Please consider a donation! Click here for a BRMES Video of the event from the past.

After School Club Carnival Events:  Staff is invited to participate in Mardi Gras Mask Making on Thursday, Jan. 28th with the after school kids and/or to a movie party on Friday, Jan. 29th for a $1.00 donation.

Sculpture for Winter Carnival:  "Barbara Morgan Elementary:  It Takes a Village" to support the theme 'Beyond Tomorrow'.  Every classroom/staff member can participate in snowman building in your area roped off.   You can start anytime the snow is ready but must be done by Jan. 28th to be judged the morning of the 29th.  This is a great thing to invite parents to join you too!

Referral Forms for Students:  The new forms can be duplicated and are to be placed in the office basket for 'Referrals' on the counter behind Donna.  Honey turned it into a 'form' and it's on the shared drive / RTI / New RTI Form (or there is a link on the right side here to print).

PBIS Videos:  Please take your expectations and attempt to video some snip its of good examples of what it would look like to follow the expectations.  You may borrow my phone to video or use an iPhone to video.  Deadline to get them to Val is Thursday, Feb. 11.  {K & 4th - Lunchroom; 5th & 2nd - Restrooms; 1st & 3rd - Playground;  All Others Interested/Willing - Hallway Transitions & Dismissal}.  Lots of ideas on You Tube under 'PBIS'.

Schoology:  Keep on digging in to be sure your websites are 'Schoology' now and play with other features.  Lesley & Carrie are your 'Trainers' to help you along the way.  The idea behind Schoology is that it can replace stand alone apps - perhaps, newsletters, volunteer sign up apps, private messaging/texting apps, Class DoJo, Remind, Edmodo, etc.  My focus this month is to get parents to utilize Powerschool for grades and attendance.  Directions will be included with report cards.

Student Passes:  I need staff help to ask kids in the hallways to see their pass, especially at lunch time.  Students are sneaking in/out of the lunchroom/recess and sneak to rooms.  They should not be doing that unless they have a pass to show they have permission.  I will remind students about this next week.
