Doors!  If you haven't taken a walk aroudn the school with or without students, you should do it! Turn it into a learning opportunity for students even and tally how many doors are a book, a character, cutest, funniest, etc.  Way to turn our building into a festive and fun place to be this month!

Giving Tree and Donation Boxes:  They are under the tree.  There are still a few more items to take from the tree if you or any parent wants to donate yet.  The deadline to turn in Giving Tree items is Monday!

Staff Christmas Party:  We voted to be different this year and are inviting staff to start with us on a hay ride at 3:30 next Friday (leave at 3:45).  Bundle up, grab a blanket, hot cocoa, your ticket you will get, and your wrapped ornament.  Come ready to sing and be merry.  We are scheduled to stop at Broken Horn to warm up at 4:00. You are welcome to drive instead and meet us there if that better fits your style.  We will do the exchange of ornaments there, eat some snacks, and then head back to the school for folks ready to call it a night OR go to plan 2.

Another New Substitute:  We have another retired substitute interested in subbing for us.  Her name is Beverly Hopp and she has background in all grades, special ed.,etc.  She cannot sub on Wednesdays.  Look for her in AESOP soon.

Website Update:  Schoology will go live on January 1st.  Please make sure your old website is updated with 'basic info' OR is reset up on Schoology so old information doesn't transfer.  Clear as mud?

UPDATE on Math Probes and Writing Assessments:  Thanks for your questions on this.  Please give your math probe monthly, score them all, reflect and turn them in to Val with a list of student names and scores on the top.  The score should be the AIMSweb weighted score.  Any student on a Math RTI Plan, the teacher must enter that score in AIMSweb too.  Please and thank you.

Christmas Break Wishes before you leave:  Help students with a purposeful walk to the Lost & Found, clean out refrigerators, classrooms should be picked up to be cleaned, and help tidy up lounge and work room ~ and most importantly, enjoy your break with your loved ones and don't work!
